Support the Goss

The Goss is the Crown Jewel of downtown Watertown thanks to the vision and generosity of our community. With donor gifts and community grants, the Goss has opened the door for all to the wide world of the arts.

The Goss is committed to creating exceptional experiences for our community. In particular, we have a specific focus on arts education for area youth. Your support enables us to provide experiences including:

• Children’s theater productions with NO COST to participants.
• An art and music program focused on connectedness, positivity, and anti-bullying for over 250 youth.
• The Local Vocals – Watertown’s Youth Choir
• Complementary symphony tickets for students.
• Christmas at the Goss with live music, creative creations, storytelling, and of course Santa.

Moreover, the Goss continues to bring unique experiences to our community through engaging entertainment and cultural programs for all ages.

Please consider a gift to the Goss Opera House. Your generosity will help sustain and enhance these opportunities for our community.

Volunteer

The Goss Opera House is the heart of downtown Watertown because of the vision of Charles Goss and the commitment of our community. We invite you to share your talents as a volunteer at the Goss Opera House.

Whether you prefer cleaning, clerical work, serving as a tour guide, staffing concerts and events, or doing some heavy lifting, we are always looking for support.

Contact our Executive Director, Jamie Mack (director@thegossoperahouse.com or 605-753-0200) to join our extraordinary army of volunteers.

Become a Friend of the Goss

Gifts to the Friends of the Goss may be tax deductible. Gifts may include cash, stocks, bonds, CDs, mutual funds or IRA rollovers. Donors may also make gifts of real estate such as land or a home. Gifts of such items that have an appreciated value may offer some significant tax advantages, such as avoiding capital gains tax and other benefits. Making a gift through your estate plan is also an option. A “planned gift” may be as bequest in a will and is an important tool for donors considering a future gift to the Friends of the Goss.

A planned gift could also be a sophisticated estate plan that provides the donor with tax and income benefits now.

Please contact our Executive Director, Jamie Mack, for more information about how you can support the Friends of the Goss.
